In the 17thth minute of the game Mateo Millrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los piedras's Genaro Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gervasio Tiso hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Los piedras's Genaro Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Franco in the 20th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Lucio Franco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los piedras's Genaro Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toro y Pampa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Millrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Clodoveo Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Abeitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Toro y Pampa were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateo Millrick to make the kick off. Gervasio Tiso's late challenge caught a Los piedras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gervasio Tiso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Toro y Pampa's Gervasio Tiso got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Eugenio Salvidor struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Arnaldo Abeitia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los piedras. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Mateo Millrick got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arnaldo Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venancio Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustin Martxelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Eugenio Salvidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los piedras's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Salvidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Agustin Martxelin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Toro y Pampa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Nahia to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Millrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Santana having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Clodoveo Mundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 96 in the game by Lucio Franco from a close distance when the talented Genaro Santana managed to make a qualified save. Los piedras's players were relieved. Although Los piedras had been in control for most of the match, Toro y Pampa still came away with the win.
