With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Atarrabi in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Berdoi saved La Banda del Sur from getting behind. Aristides Behe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Atarrabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Chajarí FC defense, Prospero Tabb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Nel. The Chajarí FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Nel should have stopped the shot. When Severiano Perico came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Chajarí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Perico couldn't finish the play. Severiano Perico struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Hermengildo Berdoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chajarí FC. When Leonides Regis came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Chajarí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Regis couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Atarrabi made a kick off. Leonides Regis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eliseo Mateus came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Chajarí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mateus couldn't finish the play. Matias Su hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes La Banda del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Weterio. Guaberto Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Chajarí FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Leonides Regis hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes, La Banda del Sur's Aristides Pelayo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guaberto Nel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Banda del Sur reached it. A collision led to Chajarí FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Leonides Regis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Salvador Atarrabi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chajarí FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Atarrabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermengildo Berdoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salvador Atarrabi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermengildo Berdoi having to make a save. When Chajarí FC's Salvador Atarrabi in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Banda del Sur's goalie prevented a goal. Eliseo Mateus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Berdoi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aurelio Oinaz. When the referee blew the final whistle, La Banda del Sur could leave the field as winners, despite Chajarí FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
