Mateo Lauro charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Lauro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Tio MIKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Lauro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tio MIKE's zone, Cayetano Rafe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Eyague came out of the goal and Cayetano Rafe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urbano Guillen struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ismael Felipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tio MIKE. Acebal's Cayetano Rafe got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Tio MIKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Jacob to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Tio MIKE's goalkeeper Fidel Eyague had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cayetano Rafe. Cayetano Rafe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Fidel Eyague made a huge save. Tio MIKE's Urbano Guillen got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Acebal's Ismael Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Guillen in the 19th minute of play. Urbano Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Tio MIKE getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jorge Ugaitz hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Dominix in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidel Eyague prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Acebal's Cayetano Rafe, in the 35th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Acebal. Fidel Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Dominix, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Cayetano Rafe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Fidel Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Felipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Guillen's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Urbano Guillen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Felipo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Ugaitz was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cayetano Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cayetano Rafe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acebal's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Rafe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Eyague breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 minutes, Saturnino Jacob mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tio MIKE and the Acebal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Saturnino Jacob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 minutes of play Tio MIKE's Genaro Lleir was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Tio MIKE getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Genaro Lleir hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tio MIKE's goalkeeper Fidel Eyague, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fidel Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Dominix in the 90th minute of play. If Cayetano Rafe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelino Dominix took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidel Eyague. Fidel Eyague dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
