Luisito Abancens's late challenge caught a Deportivo San Mario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisito Abancens helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atletico Rafaela getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Luisito Abancens hit a great ball. Fulgencio Garin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delmar Muno showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Gonzalo Ibons short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Fulgencio Garin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Anier Cordera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Rafaela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo San Mario the free kick. A hard shot 36 in the game by Gonzalo Ibon from a close distance when the talented Fulgencio Garin managed to make a qualified save. Atletico Rafaela's players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Fulgencio Garin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 46th minute, Gonzalo Ibon fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

The wind increased when Omar Torres made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Deportivo San Mario got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Muno. Atletico Rafaela's Aquiles Clodio got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Torres in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulgencio Garin saved Atletico Rafaela from getting behind. In the 62ndth minute of the game Omar Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Rafaela's Fulgencio Garin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Atletico Rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Ibon came free, but Fulgencio Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Hanot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Egoi in the 64th minute of the match. When Gonzalo Ibon came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Deportivo San Mario fans jumped to their feet. When Anier Cordera was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. The supporters of Deportivo San Mario booed when Atletico Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Cordera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Lastur, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Atletico Rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Ibon came free, but Fulgencio Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Ibon in the 97th minute of the match. Deportivo San Mario walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
