After 2 played minutes Borrachines CF got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Sabino. Eulalio Txartiko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Mikelats went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Mikelats in the 11th minute of play forced Borrachines CF's goalkeeper Eulalio Txartiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Arotza in the 19th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Edelmiro Raitin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Hulberto. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Hulberto should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Arotza in the 26th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Candido Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente's Adan Rivas got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Adan Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Candido Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Arotza in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Florencio Gurutz got a free kick in the 40th minute. With an all-out effort, Borrachines CF's Candido Hulberto threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prospero Arotza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Borrachines CF's Prospero Arotza got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Prospero Arotza made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes, Borrachines CF's Armando Vela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Candido Hulberto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borrachines CF reached it. Eulalio Txartiko made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Adan Rivas sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute, Jonatan Iaki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 66th minute of the match Florencio Gurutz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Florencio Gurutz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th minute, Florencio Gurutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Prospero Arotza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Prospero Arotza notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Independiente's Candido Hulberto. Candido Hulberto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Borrachines CF's Edelmiro Raitin got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Edelmiro Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Candido Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Borrachines CF booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Iaki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Ritchie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Candido Hulberto. Independiente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Librado during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Prospero Arotza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Joaquin Tiadoro hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Borrachines CF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Independiente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
