An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Herensuge in the 8th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Candido Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sidoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Teobaldo Osoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Hulberto came out of the goal and Teobaldo Osoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Tercero. Cipriano Herensuge struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Candido Hulberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almafuerte. Candido Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sidoro in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Florencio Gurutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Mikelats. Cipriano Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, one of Independiente:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cipriano Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Candido Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Cipriano Herensuge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almafuerte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Adan Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Sidoro to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Cristian Sidoro took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Candido Hulberto to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Almafuerte getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jose Quintan hit a great ball. If Cristian Sidoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Adan Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Maura having to interfere. Almafuerte's Cristian Sidoro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almafuerte's Baltasar Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Rivas in the 77th minute of play. When Teobaldo Osoitz fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almafuerte's protests and gave Teobaldo Osoitz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Teobaldo Osoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Cipriano Herensuge got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 89th minute Adan Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Maura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
