Ariel Ipar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Omar Honrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Ipar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, EL GLORIOSO MAXI's goalkeeper Edgard Clementi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulino Bastia. Edgard Clementi was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Paulino Bastia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulino Bastia really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 32nd match minute, River United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Quinito to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Bordat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 played minutes River United FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Gurutz. In the 47th minute Serafino Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 52 minutes, Adan Fanuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River United FC and the EL GLORIOSO MAXI players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Bastia in the 85th minute of play forced EL GLORIOSO MAXI's goalkeeper Edgard Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Honrio struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ariel Ipar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL GLORIOSO MAXI.
