The ball had pretty good speed, but Ovidio Rodas firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bermejo's Manuel Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Viator in the 5th minute of play. Ovidio Rodas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Cresencio in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Bermejo getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Silvano Jerrold hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Marco Cidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leon Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Viator in the 26th minute of play forced Bermejo's goalkeeper Manuel Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergio Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Cresencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Rodas having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Olivos got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Garin. Sergio Joachim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ovidio Rodas made a huge save. Leon Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Cidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Cresencio made a kick off. 71 minutes into the match, Olivos's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Cresencio came free, but Ovidio Rodas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Goyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Joachim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Rodas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Celestino Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bermejo's zone, Celestino Viator stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Goyo came out of the goal and Celestino Viator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Olivos booed when Bermejo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Jakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Celestino Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Goyo was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Marco Cidro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marco Cidro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 95 minutes into the game, Sergio Joachim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ovidio Rodas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bermejo had won after a very even match.
