Zacarias Regis came out of the goal and Teo Oton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River Plate's Benedicto Adrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. After having played for 11 minutes, Urbano Lizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gran Huracán Fútbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Lizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo Koldobika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Urbano Lizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Teo Oton managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Teo Oton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Regis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Fernando Guillem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Regis was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Teo Oton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Regis having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Ruperto Cloyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Gran Huracán Fútbol got a corner. River Plate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelio Jesco ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 34th minute, Tobias Quin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedicto Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Koldobika in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Fernando Guillem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zacarias Regis. Gran Huracán Fútbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Guillem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Guillem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Gran Huracán Fútbol's goalkeeper Zacarias Regis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teo Oton. 57 minutes into the match, River Plate's Fernando Guillem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Regis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teo Oton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Regis having to make a save. Zacarias Regis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Erubiel Ioritz. 69 minutes into the game, Cosme Pierres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gran Huracán Fútbol the free kick. In the 69th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Pierres to maneuver through the defense. Benedicto Adrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Koldobika in the 84th minute of the match. Fernando Guillem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Zacarias Regis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
