After a rather tough play, Republica de la VI's Jesus Guillelme got a free kick in the 6th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Eulalio Benvido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Locaio. Luján's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Benvido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cleto Sugoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixto Mattin in the 17th minute. When Raul Honesto fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Republica de la VI's protests and gave Raul Honesto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Republica de la VI getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Raul Honesto hit a great ball. Melquiades Locaio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eulalio Benvido went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Eulalio Benvido scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Locaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cleto Sugoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Katia, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cleto Sugoi was a little too slow when Salvador Katia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-3. The Luján players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Republica de la VI were winning 1-3.
After some careless play in the Republica de la VI defense, Salvador Katia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cleto Sugoi. The Republica de la VI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cleto Sugoi should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Eulalio Benvido got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 64th minute, German Aurre made a precise shot to the right of Cleto Sugoi. Republica de la VI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Eulalio Benvido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Melquiades Locaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Locaio made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Eulalio Benvido sent off a good shot on target. Eulalio Benvido struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Melquiades Locaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Republica de la VI. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Katia in the 79th minute of play forced Republica de la VI's goalkeeper Cleto Sugoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleto Sugoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Ruy, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Raul Honesto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melquiades Locaio having to make a save. In the 84th minute, Pablo Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 88 minutes on the clock, Denis Santxol commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Luján. Pablo Juvenal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cleto Sugoi. 4-3. Luján's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
