Lino Marcones charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Marcones the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lino Marcones kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Sporting Punta Alta's zone, Lino Marcones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Vasco came out of the goal and Lino Marcones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Abelardo Txilar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RiverPalomarFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to RiverPalomarFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rolando Suero hit a great ball. Raimundo Sanchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Tebaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Maximino Teofilio's late challenge caught a Club Sporting Punta Alta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Teofilio helped the player get up and apologised. During the 24th minute of the match Maximino Teofilio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Maximino Teofilio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 24th match minute, RiverPalomarFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Teofilio to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Placido Chale sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and RiverPalomarFC's Cayetano Tebaldo didn't even have to move. If Paolo Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Sanchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Tebaldo was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Raimundo Sanchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Paolo Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Lino Marcones made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Sanchez in the 55th minute of play forced RiverPalomarFC's goalkeeper Cayetano Tebaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Marcones hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Paolo Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, RiverPalomarFC's Ramiro Cilio got a free kick in the 61st minute. Paolo Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66thth minute of the game Raimundo Sanchez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RiverPalomarFC's Cayetano Tebaldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cayetano Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Txordon in the 67th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes RiverPalomarFC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Silvino. If Paolo Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Silvino hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes RiverPalomarFC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Txilar. In the 78th minute Paolo Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Tebaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardino Domingues during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, one of RiverPalomarFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RiverPalomarFC. Cayetano Tebaldo went to the wrong direction when Placido Chale was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cayetano Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Txordon in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Raimundo Sanchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Tebaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Club Sporting Punta Alta's Raimundo Sanchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Tebaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to RiverPalomarFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ramiro Cilio hit a great ball. When Raimundo Sanchez came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Club Sporting Punta Alta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Sanchez couldn't finish the play. Ramiro Cilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Vasco having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Sporting Punta Alta players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
