Federico Teyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Marino in the 6th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Pirmin during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Sixto Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Teyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 34th minute, Fernando Pirmin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dario Corderall fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piamonte's protests and gave Dario Corderall a yellow card for diving instead. Eugenio Leobardo did an outstanding performance 40 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Damaso Javiar in the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of BLACK SAILS F. C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Piamonte:s goal. Pascual Ipar walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Sixto Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Federico Teyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fermin Austin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in BLACK SAILS F. C's zone, Eliseo Marino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Teyo came out of the goal and Eliseo Marino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th match minute, BLACK SAILS F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Solustiano to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the BLACK SAILS F. C defense, Sixto Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Teyo. The BLACK SAILS F. C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Teyo should have stopped the shot. Alberto Natal's late challenge caught a BLACK SAILS F. C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Natal helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Piamonte's Alberto Natal got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Fernando Pirmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Javiar having to interfere. Sixto Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Federico Teyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Sixto Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Teyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Fernando Pirmin managed to get in a good position for a shot. BLACK SAILS F. C's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Pirmin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Javiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Eliseo Marino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Teyo having to interfere. Piamonte walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
