Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Julian Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Julian Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Olimpo FC booed when Thea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Misael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Vachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Rocendo having to interfere. The corner led Thea's Salvador Matia to fire away a dangerous shot which Candido Bastiaro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ramon Erroman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Erroman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Rocendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Saverio Nuxila notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Thea's Augusto Rocendo. Augusto Rocendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thea's Romulo Guzman shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Candido Bastiaro but with some difficulty. After 97 minutes of play, Thea's Victorino Acuña made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Bastiaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olimpo FC had won after a very even match.
