After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Severino Hulberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ausonia F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Hulberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Faro in the 29th minute of play forced Ausonia F.C's goalkeeper Serafino Katia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Fermin Behe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Santa Eufemia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ausonia F.C the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Deportivo Santa Eufemia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Behe to maneuver through the defense. Fermin Kaxen struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Nemesio Valentine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ausonia F.C. 40 minutes into the match, Ausonia F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Faro came free, but Serafino Katia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Valentine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Hulberto in the 42nd minute. Anier Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Serafino Katia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Deportivo Santa Eufemia's Claudio Lekubegi got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Adan Menendo, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fermin Kaxen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anier Faro made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 60thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Serafino Katia would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Hermengildo Ilazki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Hermengildo Ilazki took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Serafino Katia to make any attempt to save it. After 77 played minutes Deportivo Santa Eufemia got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Behe. Fermin Kaxen struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Nemesio Valentine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ausonia F.C. Severino Hulberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Valentine having to interfere. If Fermin Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nemesio Valentine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Hulberto in the 93rd minute of the match. The Deportivo Santa Eufemia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Santa Eufemia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
