The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baldomero Iliana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Marine having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Talleres:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of l Blanco y Negro:s goal. Ladislao Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Feliberto Marine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Baldomero Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Marine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Acuña charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddy Acuña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute of the match Clodoveo Baleren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliberto Marine showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Feliberto Marine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Tolino in the 25th minute of the match. Generoso Florinio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Clodoveo Roldan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Baldomero Iliana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generoso Florinio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clodoveo Roldan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Marcelo Modestio hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Generoso Florinio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Generoso Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the l Blanco y Negro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Florinio couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomero Iliana to make the kick off. Talleres's Clodoveo Roldan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Estebano in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Talleres's Lucas Quinton got a free kick in the 55th minute. Baldomero Iliana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Modestio was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, l Blanco y Negro's Marcelo Modestio got a free kick in the 69th minute. Baldomero Iliana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Marine having to interfere. l Blanco y Negro's Feliberto Marine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Iliana in the 76th minute of play. 2-2 became the score in the 78th minute when Ladislao Tolino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Feliberto Marine acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Clodoveo Baleren. Talleres were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
