When Leonides Terciero came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Chaco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Terciero couldn't finish the play. Americo Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Maraman having to interfere. When Chaco FC's Leonides Terciero in 15 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Santiago Maraman guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The supporters of Fraga FC booed when Chaco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Cilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Chaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Flores came free, but Fernando Perpinya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Rudolfo got free with Fernando Perpinya in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Rudolfo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Fernando Perpinya made a huge save. If Miguel Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaco FC's Americo Rudolfo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Fraga FC's zone, Leonides Terciero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Maraman came out of the goal and Leonides Terciero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Flores to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, one of Chaco FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Miguel Flores received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Fernando Perpinya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 60th minute, but Santiago Maraman got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Fraga FC hanging dry this time. Gilberto Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Perpinya having to interfere. Santiago Maraman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Samuel Vergaray. Fidel Mercurio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Humberto Manex's shot from long distance in the 69th minute was not bad at all, but Fraga FC's Santiago Maraman knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Leonides Terciero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Aureliano Weterio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Weterio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ubaldo Balendin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Chaco FC's Leonides Terciero got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Chaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Rudolfo came free, but Fernando Perpinya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Flores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Perpinya having to interfere. Gilberto Rudolfo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fernando Perpinya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fraga FC. Fernando Perpinya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Flores in the 94th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 100th minute, Gilberto Rudolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Rudolfo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Perpinya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
