Pikas F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Leonel Rivero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Chano having to interfere. Victoriano Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Eguen in the 24th minute of play. Rigoberto Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Curcio struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Victoriano Semeno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Fundamentalistas. In the 31st minute, Leonel Rivero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Godfredo Serapio hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Gabriel Eguen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Semeno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Curcio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victoriano Semeno was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Serapio made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Cordeara in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Fundamentalistas's goalkeeper Jacinto Chano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pikas F.C. booed when Los Fundamentalistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Lazcano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Rivero during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Leonel Rivero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Rigoberto Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Fundamentalistas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfredo Serapio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ernesto Lazcano lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 84 played minutes Los Fundamentalistas got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Lazcano. Jacinto Chano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Godfredo Serapio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Chano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Rigoberto Curcio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pikas F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Fundamentalistas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
