Cesar Gaufred's late challenge caught a Fontana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gral. Mosconi F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Niceto Gentza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Brun in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Donato Munio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Gral. Mosconi F.C's Niceto Gentza. Niceto Gentza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Gral. Mosconi F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Munio came free, but Niceto Gentza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gral. Mosconi F.C's Niceto Gentza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Brun in the 25th minute of play. Donato Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Gentza having to interfere. When Baldomero Loramendi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Gral. Mosconi F.C fans jumped to their feet. In the 30th minute of the match, Ricardo Roldanillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Orlando Francis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fontana's Orlando Francis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Fontana from getting a goal against them. Baldomero Loramendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Francis having to interfere. Ricardo Roldanillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Orlando Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Zeledon Claus fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fontana's protests and gave Zeledon Claus a yellow card for diving instead.

With his leg Niceto Gentza managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Fontana's Arsenio Brun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Loramendi in the 53rd minute of play forced Fontana's goalkeeper Orlando Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fontana's zone, Baldomero Loramendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Francis came out of the goal and Baldomero Loramendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gral. Mosconi F.C booed when Fontana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Geleberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Munio's late challenge caught a Gral. Mosconi F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mosconi F.C's zone, Arsenio Brun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Gentza came out of the goal and Arsenio Brun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arsenio Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Donato Munio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fontana's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Munio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Gentza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 played minutes Fontana got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Celino. The Gral. Mosconi F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fontana's performance. The match ended with a win for Fontana.
