When Daniel Theobald came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Curapaligüé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Theobald couldn't finish the play. Lisandro Gutierrez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Lino Flores made a huge save. Gaudencio Bortzaioriz made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gaston Jerico immediately put the ball in play. Constantino Tolino struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Mateo Kaxen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curapaligüé. Gaudencio Bortzaioriz kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barsa FC's goalkeeper Mateo Kaxen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hugo Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Theobald in the 39th minute of play forced Barsa FC's goalkeeper Mateo Kaxen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Daniel Theobald notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barsa FC's Mateo Kaxen. Mateo Kaxen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 played minutes Curapaligüé got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Lopes. The supporters of Barsa FC booed when Curapaligüé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Barsa FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Lisandro Gutierrez hit a great ball. If Arnoldo Gurutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Theobald who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Mateo Kaxen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Curapaligüé's Lino Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Gutierrez in the 69th minute of play.
