In the 54th minute of the match Honorio Jenaro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artemio Monte skillfully saved the ball. If Jimeno Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Endura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lorenzo Elorri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Rancagua Junior's Armando Cai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artemio Monte narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
