The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Peli got free with Rafael Lapurdi in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Shantala during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes La Paternal got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Shantala. In the 30th minute Marciano Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pueblo FC fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Pueblo FC's Daniel Peli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Peli made a kick off. Cornelio Selatse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rafael Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Lapurdi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Pueblo FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Edgardo Tuste hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Shantala got free with Ramon Rosario in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eloy Padro's late challenge caught a La Paternal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Padro helped the player get up and apologised. Eloy Padro kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of La Paternal booed when Pueblo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Selatse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Rosario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Daniel Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pueblo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in La Paternal's zone, Daniel Peli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Lapurdi came out of the goal and Daniel Peli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Moises Honrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 93 minutes, Daniel Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pueblo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pueblo FC had played much better football throughout.
