Severino Urdaspal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Handi, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Rene Handi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Urdaspal having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, RACING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Chico hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Mariano Eguntsenti's late challenge caught a Moreno AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Eguntsenti helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to RACING CLUB getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mariano Eguntsenti hit a great ball. Rene Handi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Moreno AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 24 minutes, Filomeno Tavio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RACING CLUB and the Moreno AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes RACING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Tavio. Benigno Romelio, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Vinicio Loco hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. RACING CLUB's Severino Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Handi in the 34th minute of play. Filomeno Tavio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Moreno AFC's Vinicio Loco got a free kick in the 36th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Fabricio Azevedo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mariano Eguntsenti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Danel having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Octavio Criston made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Moreno AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mauricio Joey hit a great ball. Octavio Criston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Criston in the 57th minute of play forced Moreno AFC's goalkeeper Jeremias Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Mino hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rene Handi during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Moreno AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rene Handi. Severino Urdaspal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Handi's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Mauricio Joey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A very good chance. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Moreno AFC's Mauricio Joey fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Rene Handi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Severino Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Mauricio Joey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moreno AFC's Mauricio Joey got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Mauricio Joey notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of RACING CLUB's Severino Urdaspal. Severino Urdaspal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute Rene Handi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Urdaspal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Handi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Moreno AFC fully deserved thier win.
