The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Barrancas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Nel came free, but Amadeo Erroman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Erroman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Lucero in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute Celso Lucero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Erroman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barrancas FC defense, Celso Lucero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Erroman. The Barrancas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Erroman should have stopped the shot. Celso Lucero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Erroman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ismael Pelagius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gordoneta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Pelagius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Erroman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Celso Lucero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Celso Lucero put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeo Erroman. Celso Lucero struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Amadeo Erroman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gordoneta FC. 29 minutes into the match, Barrancas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Pelagius came free, but Amadeo Erroman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Lucero in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Erroman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Barrancas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Erroman should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Celso Lucero notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Barrancas FC's Amadeo Erroman. Amadeo Erroman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amadeo Erroman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Lucero, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Raimundo Oriche came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Gordoneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Oriche couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Barrancas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Lucero came free, but Amadeo Erroman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Conrado Nel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gordoneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Nel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Lucero was the one to do the kick off. Amadeo Erroman made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Celso Lucero sent off a good shot on target. Fabricio Calisto's late challenge caught a Gordoneta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabricio Calisto helped the player get up and apologised. Fabricio Calisto hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Celso Lucero came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amadeo Erroman could save by the left post. 54 minutes into the match, Ismael Pelagius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Erroman. Barrancas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Pelagius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Celso Lucero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Amadeo Erroman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Celso Lucero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Amadeo Erroman made a huge save. Celso Lucero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amadeo Erroman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gordoneta FC's Maurinho de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Calisto in the 64th minute of play. Amadeo Erroman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Pelagius in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Barrancas FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Erroman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celso Lucero. 81 minutes into the game, Conrado Nel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Amadeo Erroman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, Celso Lucero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gordoneta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Raimundo Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Amadeo Erroman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Iratxo in the 94th minute of play. After 94 minutes, Niceto Urtats mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gordoneta FC and the Barrancas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Niceto Urtats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
