The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Román Martinez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Quexal went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tiburcio Macerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Adolfo Toribio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Román Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Telesforo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ancóm AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Adolfo Toribio scored to the left of an out of position Celedonio Berart, making the score, 1-1. With a little luck, Ancóm AFC's Celedonio Berart got control of the ball when Tiburcio Macerio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tiburcio Macerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matadores de Pilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Macerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celedonio Berart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augusto Leheren hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ancóm AFC's Celedonio Berart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Toribio in the 43rd minute of play. Gustavo Quexal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Román Martinez having to interfere. Serafin Telesforo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Román Martinez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafin Telesforo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ancóm AFC's goalkeeper Celedonio Berart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 52 minutes, Pascual Guillem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ancóm AFC and the Matadores de Pilar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pascual Guillem hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Celedonio Berart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Macerio in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Adolfo Toribio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ancóm AFC's Celedonio Berart. Celedonio Berart was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiburcio Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Celedonio Berart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiburcio Macerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Quexal struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Román Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ancóm AFC. Celedonio Berart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Gartzea's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Adolfo Toribio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Berart having to interfere. When Matadores de Pilar's Adolfo Toribio in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ancóm AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The Matadores de Pilar fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Matadores de Pilar's Tiburcio Macerio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 93 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Macerio notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Ancóm AFC's Celedonio Berart. Celedonio Berart was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
