Ismael Pelagius struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Eusebio Telmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gordoneta FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Oriche got free with Eusebio Telmo in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 15 in the game by Celso Lucero from a close distance when the talented Eusebio Telmo managed to make a qualified save. Castelar's players were relieved. 19 minutes into the game, Ismael Pelagius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eusebio Telmo. Ismael Pelagius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Gordoneta FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Niceto Urtats hit a great ball. Eusebio Telmo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Gordoneta FC's Celso Lucero. But to his dismay, Celso Lucero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Maurinho de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Cordaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Castelar got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Celino. A hard shot 37 in the game by Celso Lucero from a close distance when the talented Eusebio Telmo managed to make a qualified save. Castelar's players were relieved. After having played for 38 minutes, Raimundo Oriche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gordoneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Oriche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Cordaro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Cordaro to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Castelar's Jorge Cordaro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 57 minutes into the match, Celso Lucero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusebio Telmo. Castelar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celso Lucero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Celso Lucero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Gordoneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Pelagius. After having played for 64 minutes, Raimundo Oriche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gordoneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Oriche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gordoneta FC's Maurinho de Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Gordoneta FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Castelar getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Benedicto Ixidor hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Celso Lucero notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Castelar's Eusebio Telmo. Eusebio Telmo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Celso Lucero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Cipriano Raebert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Telmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Castelar getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Benigno Roland hit a great ball. Niceto Urtats took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eusebio Telmo. Castelar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Gordoneta FC's Celso Lucero made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Telmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gordoneta FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
