Saul Michael helped the player get up and apologised. 14 minutes into the match, Cucullú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ponciano came free, but Leonel Unax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Maderas AFC's Gaston Laurgain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Unax made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Leonel Unax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Laurgain in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Ignacio Gaitano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Leoiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Cucullú FC's Ignacio Gaitano got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Juan Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Serafin Ugaitz took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Victoriano Leoiar to make any attempt to save it. Zacarias Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Maderas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Nikola. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafin Ugaitz to make the kick off. Leonel Unax was a little too slow when Juan Ponciano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 2-3. Victoriano Leoiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Gaitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Cucullú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ponciano came free, but Leonel Unax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gaston Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute Juan Ponciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Unax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Ignacio Gaitano had to leave the field with a concussion. When Pedro Berasko fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maderas AFC's protests and gave Pedro Berasko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, one of Maderas AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maderas AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Ponciano in the 99th minute of play forced Cucullú FC's goalkeeper Leonel Unax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
