Eustacio Avellaneda hit a great ball. Elias Rexino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Bortzaioriz having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Abel's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Rexino came free, but Abelardo Bortzaioriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Maier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Iaki in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Abel's Christian Oidor got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Elias Rexino managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSD Boedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Rexino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Bortzaioriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of CSD Boedo booed when Abel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Herensuge didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Derya Yalazalp sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Abelardo Bortzaioriz threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Derya Yalazalp this time. Elias Rexino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Bortzaioriz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The supporters of CSD Boedo booed when Abel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Resto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Elias Rexino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSD Boedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Rexino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Abel's Constantino Tancredo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. If Elias Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Oidor hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Elias Rexino struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Abelardo Bortzaioriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSD Boedo. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Luciano Ferrer put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Bortzaioriz.
