Spectators: 7235 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Narciso Milio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Amado Goizeder might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Damario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amado Goizeder ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute of the match Santo Bemabe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Damario skillfully saved the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Velez sarsfield's Amado Goizeder made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Damario was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wilfredo Ayala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Piearres in the 16th minute. Narciso Milio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elpidio Marino hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Saturnino Ermengol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Velez sarsfield's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fulgencio Piearres fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 33 played minutes Narciso Milio rounded Velez sarsfield's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Wilfredo Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Milio in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Amado Goizeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Damario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Amado Goizeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Goizeder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santo Bemabe kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Cayetano Oihenarte, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amado Goizeder was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ramallo FC booed when Velez sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Ermengol didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sebastian Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Velez sarsfield's Wilfredo Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Milio in the 60th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilfredo Ayala showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fulgencio Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Wilfredo Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Piearres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Wilfredo Ayala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Narciso Milio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Ayala having to interfere. Fulgencio Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Wilfredo Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Velez sarsfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ramallo FC.
