Apolo Perrando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lanus FC booed when Cartucho Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Incendio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Prudencio Jenaro made a kick off. In the 58th minute Lino Bras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Berto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Orlondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Lanus FC booed when Cartucho Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Bras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cartucho Futbol Club's zone, Matias Ferrer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Perrando came out of the goal and Matias Ferrer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Arnaldo Orlondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartucho Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Orlondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Matias Ferrer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arturo Faron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Perrando made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Matias Ferrer sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquiles Rio during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, one of Cartucho Futbol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cartucho Futbol Club. Lanus FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
