A collision led to BomboneraFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ubaldo Oliviero hit a great ball. Eduardo Hurko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Milio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Victoriano Gartxot managed to get in a good position for a shot. BomboneraFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Gartxot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Nuñez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Lino Aurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victoriano Gartxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Hurko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Aurre in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Jorge Milio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aurinegro Millonario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Milio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes, Fidel Senin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BomboneraFC and the Aurinegro Millonario players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Fidel Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliberto Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Teofilo Nuñez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Milio to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Mariano Gaspard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BomboneraFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aurinegro Millonario the free kick. After 51 played minutes BomboneraFC got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Gaspard. Guaberto Gitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Teofilo Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. With an all-out effort, Aurinegro Millonario's Eduardo Hurko threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Milio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Guaberto Gitano scored 1-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teofilo Nuñez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Victoriano Gartxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Aurinegro Millonario's Jorge Milio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Victoriano Gartxot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Nuñez having to interfere. Teofilo Nuñez came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by BomboneraFC's Guaberto Gitano. But to his dismay, Guaberto Gitano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
