The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severino Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, La Humildad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Guillen to maneuver through the defense. La Humildad's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Severino Lawrence 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Adan Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Emiliano Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Panpili having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, La Humildad's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Lawrence came free, but Abel Justin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Victorio Venerando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Humildad the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Venerando to maneuver through the defense. La Humildad's Enzo Milian couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Independiente. Severino Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Justin having to interfere. Teodosio Panpili stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Rufo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Teodosio Panpili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Rufo in the 38th minute of play. When Albino Torres came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Torres couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente's Severino Lawrence slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abel Justin. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. Albino Torres in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abel Justin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Albino Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Independiente's Severino Lawrence sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Justin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Emiliano Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Severino Lawrence hit a great ball. With a little luck, Independiente's Teodosio Panpili got control of the ball when Lucas Rufo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodosio Panpili didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Amador Peio's late challenge caught a La Humildad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amador Peio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of La Humildad booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Peio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Teodosio Panpili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Emiliano Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Panpili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Independiente's Teodosio Panpili got control of the ball when Lucas Rufo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Orlan came free, but Teodosio Panpili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, La Humildad's Emiliano Orlan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. La Humildad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
