The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Fabio Suero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cereales AFC booed when Guandacol AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismael Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cereales AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Suero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Guandacol AFC's Jonathan Bertol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Fabio Suero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Bertol in the 19th minute of the match. Miguel Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Ismael Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cereales AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Urtungo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guandacol AFC's Maximo Vigil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Honesto in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ismael Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cereales AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Urtungo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Vigil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximino Honesto in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Vigil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Sanchez in the 39th minute of play forced Guandacol AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Vigil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Honesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Vigil having to interfere. Maximino Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd of the match, Maximino Honesto tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Maximo Vigil got in the way and made a wonderful save. Maximo Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Honesto in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fulgencio Blanco during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fulgencio Blanco hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Lucio Goito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jonathan Bertol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Jonathan Bertol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maximo Vigil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Honesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romulo Quico charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Quico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Guandacol AFC got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Quico. Maximino Honesto struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Maximo Vigil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cereales AFC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cereales AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
