Temperley's Mariano Ekaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Temperley from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Albano Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Gitano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Marino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aquilino Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aquilino Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deportivo Rivadavia booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Temperley's Mariano Ekaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Temperley from getting a goal against them. Mariano Ekaitz made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Angel Dolfo sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Abadia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Teofilo Abadia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mariano Ekaitz. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. After 39 played minutes Deportivo Rivadavia got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Teodor. Albano Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Deportivo Rivadavia getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Victoriano Teodor hit a great ball. 1-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Jacinto Ebardo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albano Gitano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angel Dolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The goalkeeper, Paulino Marino, was totally fooled by Temperley's Joaquin Sanson, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Paulino Marino came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Temperley's Jacinto Ebardo. But to his dismay, Jacinto Ebardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Mariano Ekaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Dolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Temperley's zone, Teofilo Abadia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Ekaitz came out of the goal and Teofilo Abadia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgardo Lehior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Marino having to interfere. Paulino Marino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Jacinto Ebardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angel Dolfo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Ekaitz having to make a save. A hard shot by Leopoldo Corderall from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Paulino Marino's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
