In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gambrinus City's goalkeeper Serafin Pitin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Gambrinus City's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Cutberto came free, but Serafin Pitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gambrinus City defense, Alvaro Cutberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Pitin. The Gambrinus City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Pitin should have stopped the shot. In the 33rdth minute of the game Carlos Veremundo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gambrinus City's Serafin Pitin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Carlos Veremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Bazil struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Norberto Maju didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambrinus City.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amancio Bazil to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Veremundo charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Veremundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Veremundo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Gambrinus City's Gogo Loreto got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Gambrinus City's Gogo Loreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norberto Maju made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gambrinus City fans cheered their team off the field, for while TOTO 2008 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
