The supporters of Metaleros AFC booed when Amenábar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Madeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cristobal Laurgain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Rene Elivareo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metaleros AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Rene Elivareo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristobal Laurgain having to make a save. After 14th play minutes Andres Lauro shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Claudio Telo and just under the crossbar into goal. After 17 minutes, Alejandro Abeitia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amenábar and the Metaleros AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alejandro Abeitia hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Alejandro Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Amenábar's goalkeeper Cristobal Laurgain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Amenábar's goalkeeper Cristobal Laurgain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Salvidor. Cristobal Laurgain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Formerio's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Claudio Telo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Metaleros AFC's Claudio Telo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Abeitia in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Amenábar's goalkeeper Cristobal Laurgain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Elivareo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Alejandro Abeitia made the kick off in the second half. Claudio Telo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Abeitia in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Metaleros AFC! The goalkeeper, Claudio Telo, was totally fooled by Amenábar's Higinio Quinteros, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 61 minutes into the match, Amenábar's Andres Lauro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Telo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Metaleros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Salvidor to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Telo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejandro Abeitia's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Conrado Telo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Telo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 75th match minute, Metaleros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Obano to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Quinteros was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Metaleros AFC's zone, Andres Lauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Telo came out of the goal and Andres Lauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Formerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristobal Laurgain having to make a save. Claudio Telo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Abeitia in the 91st minute of play forced Metaleros AFC's goalkeeper Claudio Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
