After a defensive mix-up in Metaleros AFC's zone, Leopoldo Otsoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Telo came out of the goal and Leopoldo Otsoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Otsoa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Claudio Telo 14 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, Metaleros AFC's Rene Elivareo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Balendin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Celedonio Orkatz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of La Banda FC's Joel Balendin. Joel Balendin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Metaleros AFC's zone, Leopoldo Otsoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Telo came out of the goal and Leopoldo Otsoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Metaleros AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Ildefonso Maju scored to the left of an out of position Claudio Telo, making the score, 2-2. In the 34th minute, Leopoldo Otsoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Otsoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Telo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Formerio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Formerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in La Banda FC's zone, Fausto Formerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Balendin came out of the goal and Fausto Formerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Otsoa in the 69th minute of play forced Metaleros AFC's goalkeeper Claudio Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Otsoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Telo. Metaleros AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Otsoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When Norberto Min fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Banda FC's protests and gave Norberto Min a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Banda FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Norberto Min hit a great ball. La Banda FC's Joel Balendin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save La Banda FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Otsoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Telo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Ildefonso Maju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Telo having to interfere. Norberto Min was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 96 minutes into the match, Metaleros AFC's Gerardo Opilano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. La Banda FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
