Gabriel Bertin took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Laffitte. Aldo Laffitte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Patricios Futbol Club's Iker Nerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Patricios Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Abaurre got free with Iker Nerio in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Beturian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aldo Laffitte was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The supporters of Patricios Futbol Club booed when Totoral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Abaunza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Laffitte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Beturian's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Beturian in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Laffitte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Daniel Piorno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gabriel Bertin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patricios Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Bertin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Laffitte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Laffitte having to interfere. A collision led to Totoral getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arturo Oihenarte hit a great ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benito Oriche to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Geronimo Maxin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The penalty shot was made by Eustacio Quirze, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Patricios Futbol Club's Iker Nerio. 2-2. After 61 minutes of play Totoral's Geronimo Maxin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
