Buchanan AFC's Bernardo Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Lia in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Lia in the 7th minute of play forced Buchanan AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Ermegildo Llin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saturnino Venceslas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ermegildo Llin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Saturnino Venceslas made a huge save. Bernardo Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Cordarell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cirilo Cordarell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortune Chaser's supporters rose to their feet, but Cirilo Cordarell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Cordearo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cirilo Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Lia in the 28th minute of play forced Buchanan AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cirilo Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Buchanan AFC booed when Fortune Chaser was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Cordarell in the 42nd minute of play forced Buchanan AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermegildo Llin was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Rigoberto Intxixu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fortune Chaser's Cirilo Cordarell managed to work through Buchanan AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cirilo Cordarell dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 66 minutes, Ciro Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortune Chaser's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aureliano Tabor during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 72 minutes, Ciro Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortune Chaser's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cirilo Cordarell, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bernardo Cordearo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cirilo Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ciro Lia came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Fortune Chaser fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Lia couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Buchanan AFC's Benito Lauaxeta got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Buchanan AFC's zone, Cirilo Cordarell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Cordearo came out of the goal and Cirilo Cordarell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cirilo Cordarell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Cordearo having to make a save. Ciro Lia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1-1 became the score in the 91st minute when Cirilo Cordarell elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Buchanan AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Lia. Bernardo Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Cordarell in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fortune Chaser players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
