Los Diablos's Felipe Barrionuevo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodosio Iratzeder to make the kick off. Teodosio Iratzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Inocencio Eneko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Cresconio's late challenge caught a Atletico de Rafaela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Harriet, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Teodosio Iratzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Atletico de Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Fonso. When Fausto Fonso came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Atletico de Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Fonso couldn't finish the play. After 73 played minutes Los Diablos got a freekick which was hit by Iker Manilan. After 76 minutes, Benjamin Gutxi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico de Rafaela and the Los Diablos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Atletico de Rafaela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Diablos:s goal. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Los Diablos. Felipe Barrionuevo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaston Ekain. 1-0. The supporters of Los Diablos booed when Atletico de Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Cordareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Eneko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Iratzeder in the 86th minute of play.
