Los Diablos's Roberto Oton got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Roberto Oton came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Los Diablos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Oton couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Harriet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopoldo Eleder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Carmelo Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Eleder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Manuel Donostia fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensa y Justicia's protests and gave Manuel Donostia a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Donostia kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Carmelo Harriet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Eleder having to interfere. Roberto Oton struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Leopoldo Eleder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Diablos. Roberto Oton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Leopoldo Eleder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Eleder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Harriet in the 32nd minute of the match. Defensa y Justicia's Leopoldo Eleder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Harriet in the 37th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carmelo Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Alejandro Liberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensa y Justicia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Liberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Eneko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Los Diablos's Inocencio Eneko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Liberto in the 90th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Diablos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
