Ambrosio Dominix, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Roque Nicholas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaston Ekain. Atletico de Rafaela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roque Nicholas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Atletico de Rafaela's Gaston Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Nicholas in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Nemesio Palos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romulo Goren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Iratzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Fonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Goren having to interfere. Wilfredo Chale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gaston Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Domingo Efren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, ROMAN-TICOS's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Iratzeder came free, but Romulo Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ROMAN-TICOS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Clemente Chinto hit a great ball. When Teodosio Iratzeder came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Atletico de Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Iratzeder couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes of play, Atletico de Rafaela's Fausto Fonso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romulo Goren was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 56thth minute of the game Roque Nicholas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico de Rafaela's Gaston Ekain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Atletico de Rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Nicholas came free, but Gaston Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes ROMAN-TICOS got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Rius. 64 minutes into the match, ROMAN-TICOS's Wilfredo Chale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Ekain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilfredo Chale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaston Ekain came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilfredo Chale slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 72nd minute. If Wilfredo Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Nicholas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gaston Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Roque Nicholas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaston Ekain was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilfredo Chale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 93 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Rafaela's Benjamin Gutxi got a free kick in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Atletico de Rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Nicholas came free, but Gaston Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over ROMAN-TICOS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico de Rafaela throughout the match.
