Cosme Leizarraga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buchanan FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Orzaize in the 19th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Caseros's goalkeeper Cosme Leizarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severiano Clementi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Domenec in the 25th minute. Cosme Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Natanael, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Orzaize in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosme Leizarraga saved Estudiantes de Caseros from getting behind. Vinicio Ignatius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severiano Clementi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Severiano Clementi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Domenec in the 44th minute. Severiano Clementi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Ignatius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Leizarraga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Hondo in the 48th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Orzaize was the one to do the kick off. When Angel Sauveur fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de Caseros's protests and gave Angel Sauveur a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Estudiantes de Caseros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Buchanan FC:s goal. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Buchanan FC. Leo Quirze stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cosme Leizarraga. 1-3. Estudiantes de Caseros's Cosme Leizarraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Orzaize in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Eloy Nesor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinicio Ignatius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Eusebio Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buchanan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Hondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Leizarraga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 80 in the game by Eusebio Hondo from a close distance when the talented Cosme Leizarraga managed to make a qualified save. Estudiantes de Caseros's players were relieved. Nicolas Orzaize sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 93 minutes, Candido Frisco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de Caseros and the Buchanan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eusebio Hondo scored 2-4 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosme Leizarraga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
