Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celedonio Blai in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Walme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lázaro Enekoitz was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Don leone's Lázaro Enekoitz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Chovet AFC were awarded a corner. Anselmo Fernanco went to the cornerflag to take it. Diego Walme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Herensuge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rodrigo Tuste came out of the goal and Octavio Boniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavio Boniel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Tuste having to make a save. With his leg Diego Walme managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Chovet AFC's Celedonio Blai fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Octavio Boniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicasio Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Diego Walme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicasio Herensuge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Walme having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicasio Herensuge in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Walme saved Don leone from getting behind. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Don leone! Anselmo Fernanco shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 86 minutes, Celedonio Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chovet AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Blai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
