With a little luck, Candelaria FC's Vinicio Cordeara got control of the ball when Gregorio Maidana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amado Frascuelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Juan Magdaleno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Cordeara was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregorio Maidana got free with Vinicio Cordeara in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregorio Maidana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregorio Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Cordeara having to interfere. Vinicio Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Magdaleno in the 23rd minute of play. Gregorio Maidana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Vinicio Cordeara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leonel Laffitte kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Basilio Txurio hit a great ball. Sixto Matxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amancio Francis went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 45 minutes into the match, Filomeno Etxeberri notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Boca js's Sixto Matxin. Sixto Matxin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute Gregorio Maidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Balendin came free, but Vinicio Cordeara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boca js's zone, Basilio Txurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixto Matxin came out of the goal and Basilio Txurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Basilio Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Txurio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Boca js's goalkeeper Sixto Matxin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Frascuelo. Filiberto Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Matxin having to interfere. If Amado Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinicio Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Magdaleno in the 78th minute of play. Vinicio Cordeara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Amado Frascuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Amancio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixto Matxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Candelaria FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
