Spectators: 7077 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvio Liberto started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Correas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Lohitzun to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Correas's zone, Silvio Liberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Guerau came out of the goal and Silvio Liberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prudencio Jaen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Eli having to interfere. Prudencio Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Benedicto Eli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Pastor Ubelteso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lafontaine FC and the Correas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Pastor Ubelteso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Placido Telesforo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Eli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Liberto scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Guerau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th match minute, Correas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Bautista to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Lafontaine FC's David Romano tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Silvio Liberto might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Guerau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvio Liberto ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Correas getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rigoberto Pierres hit a great ball. Silvio Liberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Lafontaine FC's Delmiro Nuñez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Delmiro Nuñez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lafontaine FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Delmiro Nuñez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lafontaine FC!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Telesforo was the one to do the kick off. If Filomeno Mikeldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Azibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Eduardo Guerau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Martin Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Angelino Bautista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Correas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lafontaine FC the free kick. Angelino Bautista hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Correas's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Mikeldi came free, but Eduardo Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Telesforo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Eli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Filomeno Mikeldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Lafontaine FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Romano to maneuver through the defense. Placido Telesforo might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedicto Eli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Placido Telesforo ran back to his position shaking his head. Benedicto Eli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Jaen in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Placido Telesforo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benedicto Eli. Placido Telesforo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Correas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
