After having played for 19 minutes, Rolando Ereinotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agronomía FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Ereinotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolando Ereinotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Gaizkine in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Mapuche Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Gaizkine came free, but Teofilo Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leo Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mapuche Futbol Club's zone, Rolando Ereinotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Cordeiro came out of the goal and Rolando Ereinotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Ereinotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Cordeiro having to interfere. Amador Oliverios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mapuche Futbol Club's Teofilo Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Gaizkine in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Primitivo Sindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amador Oliverios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Sindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Sindo got free with Amador Oliverios in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amador Oliverios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agronomía FC's Amador Oliverios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Sindo in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Agronomía FC booed when Mapuche Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Sindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Gaizkine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Teofilo Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Mapuche Futbol Club's Primitivo Sindo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amador Oliverios. Amador Oliverios yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When the match was over Mapuche Futbol Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Agronomía FC throughout the match.
