Spectators: 6756 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) Douglas Haig's Clemente Lauro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Constantino Gaxan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Ortzi in the 3rd minute. Agustin Ortzi got in the 5th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Constantino Gaxan handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Gaston Cordarryl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 10 minutes, Filiberto Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Villa Elisa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Cresconio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Manuel Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douglas Haig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Villa Elisa the free kick. After 16 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Perez. After a defensive mix-up in Douglas Haig's zone, Filiberto Cresconio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Policarpio came out of the goal and Filiberto Cresconio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Clemente Lauro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Lauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Gaxan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Club Atletico Villa Elisa getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Erubiel Segio hit a great ball. If Clemente Lauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute of the match Fausto Lluc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantino Gaxan skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lope in the 34th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Eriberto Policarpio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantino Gaxan was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Clemente Lauro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clemente Lauro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Agustin Ortzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Eriberto Policarpio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filiberto Cresconio. In the 65th minute, Filiberto Cresconio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eriberto Policarpio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Eriberto Policarpio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Lope in the 70th minute of play. Eliseo Nevada hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Clemente Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Atletico Villa Elisa getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Igor Oliverios hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atletico Villa Elisa's Roman Paio tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Filiberto Cresconio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eriberto Policarpio, 1-2. During the 97th minute of the match Gaston Cordarryl completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gaston Cordarryl a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 99 minutes into the match, Filiberto Cresconio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Douglas Haig's Eriberto Policarpio. Eriberto Policarpio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Club Atletico Villa Elisa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
