Alvaro Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Adolfo Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guido Corderall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Bernard having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Monserrat FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Maxin. Artemio Joey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Bernard having to make a save. Monserrat FC's Adolfo Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Salvino in the 23rd minute of play. Rodrigo Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Alvaro Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Handi having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Alvaro Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. los pibes del astillero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, los pibes del astillero's Eriberto Luken got a free kick in the 39th minute. Guido Corderall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Iraitz was the one to do the kick off. Rodrigo Bernard came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Monserrat FC's Delmiro Precioso. But to his dismay, Delmiro Precioso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Alvaro Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Adolfo Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Delmiro Precioso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Bernard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Sesuldo got free with Adolfo Handi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Monserrat FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Leonardo Iraitz scored to the left of an out of position Adolfo Handi, making the score, 2-2. In the 94th minute, Bernardino Mancio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Monserrat FC were awarded a corner. Daniel Niva went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Niva made a great header on Monserrat FC's corner, it was just that los pibes del astillero's Rodrigo Bernard managed to reach the ball for a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
