Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Gilesindo in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Quentin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Coronados FC's Leonardo Gilesindo in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newells's goalie prevented a goal. Newells's Rene Quentin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Evarado in the 7th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Nicholas during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Filiberto Nicholas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Gilesindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Newells's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Gilesindo came free, but Rene Quentin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cornelio Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Coronados FC booed when Newells was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Gilesindo in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Quentin saved Newells from getting behind. In the 21st minute Leonardo Gilesindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Newells getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Filiberto Nicholas hit a great ball. Rene Quentin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Gilesindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game Leonardo Gilesindo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newells's Rene Quentin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Filiberto Nicholas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Dolcet having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Newells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Tavio to maneuver through the defense. Rene Quentin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Argi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Leonardo Gilesindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Poncio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Gilesindo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 55thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Rene Quentin would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 57th minute, Filiberto Nicholas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes Newells got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Nicholas. After 59 played minutes Coronados FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Malvin. Leonardo Gilesindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Rene Quentin made a huge save. Leonardo Gilesindo in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rene Quentin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marco Evarado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rene Quentin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Argi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Quentin having to interfere. Rene Quentin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Gilesindo in the 69th minute. A collision led to Newells getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Filiberto Nicholas hit a great ball. Leonardo Gilesindo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rene Quentin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coronados FC. Rene Quentin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Evarado in the 77th minute of the match. If Leonardo Gilesindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Quentin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Gilesindo in the 83rd minute. Leonardo Gilesindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rene Quentin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Leonardo Gilesindo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rene Quentin, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Gilesindo got free with Rene Quentin in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Gilesindos short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Rene Quentin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Demetrio Lusi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coronados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Lusi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Quentin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Gilesindo got free with Rene Quentin in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Coronados FC played a much better game than Newells and deserved their victory. The Newells players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
