Los Diablos Rojos's Justino Dalmau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Bikendi in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Cuevas's goalkeeper Tadeo Joey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Misael. Nestor Ferran kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Misael cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tadeo Joey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Romildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Joey having to interfere. Justino Dalmau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Estevon went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Cuevas's zone, Francisco Romildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Joey came out of the goal and Francisco Romildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nestor Ferran struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Tadeo Joey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Diablos Rojos. Moises Eskuin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justino Dalmau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Estevon in the 44th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Bikendi in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Dalmau saved Los Diablos Rojos from getting behind.

After 52 played minutes Cuevas got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Bikendi. Moises Eskuin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tadeo Joey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Benjamin Estevon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuevas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 67 minutes into the match, Cuevas's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Misael came free, but Tadeo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartolo Bikendi hit a great ball. Los Diablos Rojos's Danilo Fidele got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute Hermengildo Misael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Misael in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Bermudo in the 89th minute of play forced Cuevas's goalkeeper Tadeo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Cuevas got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Bikendi. Los Diablos Rojos's Hermengildo Misael got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Los Diablos Rojos lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
